About me
Liz Pope is a passionate STEAM educator and doctoral candidate in educational program development with a focus in educational innovation. With over a decade of experience, she specializes in the intersection of creativity and hands-on learning. Holding a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University and a bachelor’s in Educational Studies from the University of South Florida, Liz excels at guiding middle schoolers through complex concepts via design thinking and fabrication. Her leadership in the field is evidenced by her successful creation and management of school makerspaces where she teaches 3d printing, laser cutting, and coding, as well as her track record of coaching FIRST LEGO League and Science Olympiad teams to state-level competitions. When she isn't fostering the next generation of innovators, Liz stays fueled by her own creative pursuits, including reading, gardening, baking, creating, and enjoying the outdoors.
